Cool
Iv got 2 neto’s and just got the proscenic m7. The neto’s definitely have the best pickup on both carpet and hard floor’s. Infact I vacuumed some older carpet with a good upright till It quit picking up much and then ran the neto. It came back with a full bin every day for the first week. Iv also noticed the neto is able to work dried mud off hard floor’s. I do run the silicone brush it seams to clean the best although a little louder. However, the neto really dose not do well around the baseboards as you noticed. The other issue IV had is both neto’s have had their lidar fail one with in the first year and the other at about 1.5 years. I picked up the proscenic m7 when the lidar failed on my D3 so far it dose an awesome job around the baseboards. However it’s pretty ineffective on the carpet. Iv also noticed the hard floor’s don’t feel as clean when bare footed, that and pet hair really plugs it up, even running every day. Which was not an issue for the neto.
I have 2 Neatos and they have pro’s and cons. The pros is that they have awsome suction and a large bin. I have an older model (D75) with a pure silicon brush and hair never get stuck in that one. Also they work great on throw-rugs since there is no brush that can get stuck under them and make the robot move it to push them to a corner and then get stuck. Cons is that they do not pickup along walls with lots of twists and turns. Sidebrush is small and only works along long flat walls and also magnetic .Sometimes the sidebrush falls off on carpet. My robot have sucked up its own sidebrush and got stuck 🙂 When i clean downstairs I run a Neato 1st pass and then have a Roomba or Roborock that takes the corners and crevices.
I have the D7. You should pop off the roller guard to take out the roller and clean it.
Own a NEATO and love it. Picks up everything, great mapping, no go lines despite what you saw it’s decent with hair. Once it maps out the room it’s much quicker. Better than the Roomba. S5 almost as good but not a fan of duel purpose robots. NEATO doesn’t need a brush because it’s square faced. Got confused because the barrier need to be taller. Will be fixed with no go lines now.
I think it got confused becuase the Wooden thing you put there is lower than its lidar sensor but still hits its bump sensor
Do you always use gloves when you clean your vacuums. By the way, the dirt is not that disgusting, compared to my roomba 655 that’s pretty clean
I still have a Neato XV 11 its now 10 years old and still works perfect, apart from the terrible Ni MH batteries that only last a year or 2.
I guess they do not change a good thing as its shape and design has stayed the same in that 10 years. With an auto empty feature like the iRobot it would be almost perfect.
owed neato since there came out, love the vacuum but been displeased with their batteries, personally the batteries for this robot in my experience has been nothing but awful since the xv21 ive had and others after the bot vac D80 is was officially done paying 39.99 and 49.99 for batteries that began to die after a few runs, and when batteries go bad on neato’s they ever thing is off.and then they want you to no buy 3rd party batteries and their batteries are just as bad if not worse!.so mine do work they just sit now, tired of buying unreliable batteries 3rd party and from neato.
